This is me
It all started with a backpack on my shoulder, several maps of European cities and a cheap digital camera, which at that time I did not care, I was decided to capture moments with whatever tool I had in my hands. On that occasion I was traveling alone since I had ended a 3-year relationship with a girl and I needed to spend time with myself, what better than to do this at the age of 22, touring Europe and visiting countries like Spain, Italy, and France. It was in that trip that I first felt the need to take my time to do street photography.
Upon my return home, my mother discovered that my passion for photography had begun. At that time, my mother was a fashion designer and catalog coordinator for a very important lingerie brand in Mexico. In order to later do her work, she invited me to my first photo sessions just to observe and learn and then let me do her job as catalog production coordinator.
In 2004 I received my first DSLR film camera as a gift for my 24th birthday. I experimented a lot with it, especially photographing people in the streets and taking landscapes.

Getting into the professional photography
From 2006 to 2014 I collaborated as a campaign coordinator teaming up with other photographers, models, makeup artists and designers. While doing these projects I always wonder; What would it be like to be the person behind the camera? And from this question was born the decision to study photography.
But God had other plans for me in another country, at the end of 2014 I moved with my family to Canada. Thanks to the fact that I still did not have my permanent resident card to get a job, I had 100% time to study photography and thus start my business in 2016. Not having many opportunities in fashion photography, I focus on weddings and professional portraits.
Today, I own two amazing companies, Alberto Ponce Signature Weddings and PortraFino
